FERTILIZER/SUPPLEMENT APPLICATION AND pH
Power of Hydrogen (pH) measurements are fundamental to the health of any crop or ecosystem. Super Sulphur Plus™ is, therefore, best used according to your specific soil requirements as dictated by pH levels.
*It is not recommended to use Super Sulphur Plus™ on soil that has a pH of less than 6.0 when no lime (calcium) is present.
SUPER SULPHUR PLUS™ SOIL APPLICATION RATES
Crops, Pasture, Field and Rangeland
- Soil pH of 6.3 to 6.8
Apply 500 to 800 pounds per treated acre as a maintenance and replacement program.
- Soil pH of 6.8 to 7.3
Apply 800 to 1000 pounds treated acre for pH reduction and element replacement.
- Soil pH of 7.3 to 7.7
Apply 1000 to 1500 pounds per treated acre for pH reduction and element replacement.
- Soil pH of 7.8 to 8.9 and higher (alkali soil)
Apply 2000 to 3000 pounds per treated acre for pH reduction and plant growth.
Home, Garden and Nursery
- 4 to 6 potted plants
Apply 1 tablespoon to 1/4 cup
- 8 to 12 potted plants
Apply 1/2 cup to 1 cup
Spread evenly over surface and water into plant or mix with soil contents of pot size then plant or seed.
Lawns and Flower Beds
Apply 3 to 5 pounds of Super Sulphur Plus™ for every 100sq/feet of surface (or 30 to 50 pounds per 1000 sq/feet of surface).
Super Sulphur Plus™ is standard milled to a fine to 1/8 inch minus particle size that spreads easily using standard fertilizer spreaders or for smaller applications by hand. It is also available in a screened, 200 mesh* size that is water soluble for liquid application.
